All members of NeSDiN must adhere to the highest standards of professional and scientific integrity, per Article V of the Bylaws. Please read before signing the acknowledgment below.
Scientific Integrity & Intellectual Property
Members must respect the intellectual property of others during brainstorming sessions and collaborations. Confidentiality must be maintained when discussing unpublished data.
Inclusivity & Respect
The network is strictly non-discriminatory. Members must foster a welcoming environment free from harassment, discrimination, or bias based on gender, caste, religion, or academic rank.
Conflict of Interest
Any member engaging in policy advisory or financial decisions must disclose any personal, professional, or financial conflicts of interest.
Professional Representation
When consulting or speaking on behalf of NeSDiN to government bodies or the public, members must accurately represent the collective consensus of the organization and clearly distinguish personal opinions from official network stances.
Confidentiality & Ethical Collaboration
Members shall engage respectfully and professionally; encourage constructive criticism and open dialogue; avoid plagiarism, misinformation, or unethical research behavior; treat sensitive organizational or research-related information responsibly; and promote fairness in authorship, acknowledgment, and research participation.
Membership Termination
Membership of any voting or non-voting member may be terminated for failing to uphold the Bylaws, by majority decision of the Executive Committee.
